Race Report by Ben Cosgrove
With a 2 week break for air, drivers packed all their race gear back up and descended onto Don Valley Stadium for the second round of the BIWS. The only notable absence was Elliott Harper from the 'top' driver list as he was on Worlds duty and doing a great job at the same time I must say!

The track was more conventional for this round with the straight coming back to the Don. The track markings were not taped down and therefore the track was a lot more forgiving. Again the general traction level was good from early practice with the heating on. There were also some covers to stop the sun from making an appearance again like last round onto the track.

Elliott Harper was away in Thailand at the Worlds so it was down to the other Mirage guys to try and beat Ben. Stewart Noble took up the challenge and lined up second on the grid behind Ben Cosgrove with Phil Chambers grabbing third.

Ben led from lap 1 to the chequered flag in leg 1 of the A final with Stewart Noble and Phil Chambers second and third respectively. Leg 2 was a little bit different with a small mistake dropping Ben back into the pack and leaving Stewart in the lead. Ben had to fight hard to get through the pack and eventually went about catching Stew. Eventually Ben took the win with Jonny Aird getting second and Phil picking up another third.
